Join us for an evening of Bird Box making and storytelling with Killarney Men's Shed and The Kerry Eco-Social Farming EIP Project.
This year the Kerry Biosphere with support from Creative Ireland and Kerry county Arts is celebrating the 'Birds of the Kerry Biosphere' through a series of events and activities planned to encourage local communities to learn more about the birds that can found in their gardens and on their farms and what can be done to help them!
The Kerry Eco-Social Farming Project is working with farms throughout Kerry to support and improve nature on the farm. Part of this work is to create and place Bird boxes for several important bird species to encourage them to make their homes on farms in Kerry.
The Killarney Men's Shed has been working with local communities to build and distribute bird boxes and insect boxes to help protect our birds and pollinators.
Together these three projects are hosting an evening of Bird Box making, storytelling and fun at the Killarney Men's Shed on Thursday the 26th of May 2022 from 7pm to 9.30pm.
We will be joined by Storyteller Sean O' Laoghaire, Eleanor Turner, Biosphere Officer for the Kerry UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and Luke Myers, Project Biodiversity Officer for the Kerry Eco-Social Farming EIP Project.
All are welcome!
