Unfortunately we have had to cancel our creative writing workshop scheduled for Thursday July 17th. The workshop was due to be a follow on from our first workshop hosted by Killarney Library on Thursday July 3rd. We had a a very interesting group in attendance on the 3rd and we shared stories and ideas about the creative writing process and our own favourite authors and books.
Our diverse group explored the topics associated with 'Our Wild Woodlands' booklet which will comprise a series of short stories, poems, and illustrations. Our booklet will facilitate entries of short stories and poems from children and adults alike, Our woodlands theme aims to raise awarenesss about the native woodlands in the Biosphere and our relationship with these woodlands. We are aiming to enhance awareness of these important habitat types and the species they support. We are aiming to achieve this through the medium of art as supported by Creative Ireland and the Kerry County Council Arts Office.
