The Kerry Biosphere is thrilled to be taking part in an educational awareness programme in Kerry's libraries which is being delivered by Kerry County Council Biodiversity Officer Eleanor Turner. The programme will include the preparation of an "educational table" at each of the nine libraries in the County. The educational pieces will have a biodiversity theme and the Biosphere is delighted to contribute towards the items provided.
We will be sharing our biodiversity themed literature including lovely, informative booklets featuring "Wildlife in Buildings", "Saving our Swifts", and "Gardening for Biodiversity" the latter is available as bearla agus as gaeilge. We will also be able to provide our popular bats colouring books and our beautiful Kerry Biosphere booklets, and maybe even some of our coveted Bird ID Swatches! A massive well done to Eleanor and the Kerry Library for hosting and organising this worthwhile programme. Meanwhile, our impressive bat sculpture from sculptor supremo Marjorie Cunnigham is still proudly on display in the Killarney Library, why not pop in and have a gander!
