We are delighted to launch of our National Biosphere Youth Engagement Survey. The aim of the survey is to better understand how young people (18 - 35) connect with our UNESCO Biosphere reserves and more importantly, what may be holding them back from getting involved.

Whether you’re already engaged in environmental and cultural initiatives or simply interested in shaping a more sustainable future, your insights will help us:

  • Identify barriers to participation
  • Strengthen inclusive and meaningful engagement
  • Inform outreach strategies across our biosphere reserve network
  • Support the goals of UNESCO’s Man and the Biosphere Programme

The survey is open to anyone aged 18-35 from across the island of Ireland and should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete. It will close on 31st March 2026.

Dublin Bay UNESCO Biosphere Reserve - take the survey here!

Kerry UNESCO Biosphere Reserve - take the survey here!

Following the survey's close, we will generate a summary report of the findings, along with recommendations to support local youth outreach planning and engagement strategies.

Thank you in advance for helping us strengthen youth participation across the Ireland UNESCO Biosphere Reserves Network.
